Sports Medicine

Sports medicine is somewhat of a misnomer, suggesting it only deals with elite athletes.  However, sports medicine should really be called “activity medicine”, because the objective is to support people engaging in all varieties of activity from weekend warriors to competitive athletes.  Because sports medicine focuses on the treatment of activity-related injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bone and joints, many of the techniques are applicable to pain management and “non-sport” injuries such as those that occur in the work-place.

Q Wellness practitioners can aid athletes with injury prevention, sport nutrition and injury rehabilitation.  Our treatments are complimentary to other regimes, such as physiotherapy, chiropractic and more.
